David Hale
Operating Partner
David Hale serves as Operating Partner at Plan North Group, where he leads strategy and execution for complex development, renovation, and construction management projects across Colorado’s most iconic resort communities. With over $2 billion in total project experience, David brings deep expertise in luxury hospitality, residential development, commercial construction, and large-scale infrastructure.
His background includes leadership roles at Extell Development and CAA ICON, along with years in the energy sector managing wind farms, pipelines, and water treatment projects across the U.S. He has overseen flagship work like the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail, CSU Spur’s multi-building campus in Denver, and the Honda Center NHL arena assessment. Earlier in his career, David worked with Mortenson on LEED Gold and Platinum-certified public projects, including the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center, 1800 Larimer, and St. Joseph Hospital.
At Plan North Group, David oversees all aspects of project management, from pre-construction strategy and consultant selection to construction administration and project closeout. Whether managing phased hotel renovations or spearheading HOA exterior upgrades, he’s known for his honest communication, sharp attention to detail, and ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
A graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Construction Management, David is also a dad of three and someone who still rolls up his sleeves—whether walking a roofline, logging miles at weekend baseball tournaments, or leading a tough contract negotiation. He lives in Englewood, Colorado with his wife and sons, and believes that great projects are built not just on drawings and dollars, but on trust, grit, and follow-through.
